Yalu Jailbreak Updated to Beta 7 to Support iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4

A few days back, the Yalu jailbreak for iOS 10.2 was updated to beta 6 to support most 64-bit devices except iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Air. The jailbreak also wasn’t working properly with iPad Mini 4.

Gladly, it has now been updated to beta 7 to bring support for iPad Air 2 as well as iPad Mini 4. The latest beta can be downloaded directly from Yalu’s official website. For a step-by-step guide, read the following post:

How to Jail break iOS 10.2 on iPhone, iPad or iPod Using Yalu & Cydia Impactor
Unfortunately, the jailbreak still doesn’t work with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. We’re yet to see whether Luca brings support for these devices or not.

If you plan on jail breaking, make sure to check out the list of compatible iOS 10.2 jailbreak tweaks. Installing a non-compatible tweak can create issues on your device or much worst, force you to restore to the latest iOS firmware. Additionally, Apple has stopped signing iOS 10.2, which means that there’s no way you can downgrade manually to this firmware, unless you had saved the required SHSH blobs.
